To Small & Creepy Films we bring our shared attraction to the bizarre and the outrageous, the strange and the twisted, the outside and the anxious. Acting as curators, we will personally select the feature films and shorts that are shown on the site and sold at the online store.

            We welcome submissions from filmmakers all over the world.

Caroline Thompson has written ten produced screenplays,four of which she also directed. Her credits include EDWARD SCISSORHANDS, THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS, and BLACK BEAUTY —whether you agree with her or not, these are the ones shes most proud of.She is all too aware that every one of her movies resulted from agroup effort, but none more so than THE HILLS ARE ALIVE, Small & Creepy’s first web series.   It was germinated with a contest (come up with a movie that could be shot on Steve and Caroline’s ranch, a contest which Caroline and Steve won because no one else submitted anything); it had a long and strange gestation (made successful only because editorial had genius); and then, with its birth, launched this site (because we were curious about the possibilities of making movies solely for distribution on the internet). So here we are.

Steve Nicolaides has had a long and fruitful career as a line producer — if you dont know what that is, it means hes been the nuts-and-bolts guy and more behind such movies as THE PRINCESS BRIDE, STAND BY ME, BOYZ ‘N THE HOOD (for which he was actually the only producer), A FEW GOOD MEN, LITTLE BIG LEAGUE, SHAFT, THE FORGOTTEN, SCHOOL OF ROCK, NACHO LIBRE and, ay yi yi, BEVERLY HILLS CHIHUAHUA.

Micah Van Hove is a filmmaker based in Los Angeles. He manages Small & Creepy Films as well as his own production company. Micah is currently working on directing his first feature film set to shoot in early 2012.
